Finally, respite care services provide a much-needed break for both caregivers and their clients. Respite programs allow family members to take time off from providing care while assuring every participant is in a safe and supportive environment.
Day programs are designed to provide people with disabilities with recreational, educational and social activities to participate in during the day. These programs include a wide range of activities such as day trips, arts and crafts sessions, music lessons, physical therapy classes, cooking instruction and more.
NDIS plans typically last 12 months, although they can be extended by an extra 6-12 months depending on individual needs. The NDIS reviews your plan annually to determine whether you are meeting your goals and still require supports. If so, the agency will extend your plan for another 12 months.
